General Manager, EPIC Steak
A respected industry veteran, Brian Walsh brings more than 20 years of hospitality and restaurant experience, including an impressive tenure at the iconic steakhouse chain Ruth’s Chris, to his role as general manager of EPIC Steak.
Born and raised in Ireland, Walsh first gained an interest in the hospitality industry from his parents who ran bed and breakfasts. After moving to the U.S. in 1994, he gained first-hand experience in restaurants, working his way from the ground up, initially as a bar back, server and bartender, before moving into management roles.
In 2002 Walsh was hired by Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse where he spend 13 years, first as an assistant GM of their San Diego location and later as the GM and regional manager at the Walnut Creek branch. An active community member, he founded and launched Walnut Creek Restaurant Week in 2012 and is a member of the board of directors for the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and president of the Restaurant Council for the Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association.
Walsh lives in Walnut Creek with his wife, Brenda, and two sons, Liam and Conor.
